Booking on your own website (booking widget)

Updated on Tuesday 03 November 2026

Paste a snippet into your site and clients book without leaving it: the form inside the page or a floating button.

If your business has its own website, clients can book right there, without leaving it. You copy a snippet from Citauno, paste it into your site, and your booking form appears with your services, your professionals and your real free times.

It is included in your plan at no extra cost.

Where to set it up

In Settings, at the top, there is the Add to your website card (it is also on the Links page, if you use it). Tap Set up.

Only the business’s admins see it. Events businesses don’t have it: they have no booking page.

Three ways to show it

Shape What your client sees When to use it
In the page The booking form inside a page of your website. It grows with its content, with no scrollbars of its own. A “Book an appointment” page on your site.
Floating button A button in the corner of the screen. Tapping it opens the form: full screen on a phone, a panel on the right on a computer. When you want booking on every page: paste the snippet into each one, or into your site’s footer.
iframe only The form inside the page, with a fixed height. For site builders that don’t accept scripts.

The options

  • Language: Spanish, Portuguese or English. It starts in the language you write your business’s texts in. If your website has a version in another language, paste a snippet in that language there.
  • Service already picked: the form opens with that service ticked. Handy on a service’s page on your site (“Colour”, “Manicure”).
  • Location already picked, if you have more than one.
  • Professional already picked, if your clients choose a professional.
  • Button colour and text, for the Floating button.

Each change updates the snippet and the preview beside it. The preview is the real form: confirming a booking there creates it.

Paste it into your website

  1. Tap Copy under Your code.
  2. On your website, add an HTML or code block and paste it:
    • WordPress: a Custom HTML block.
    • Wix: Add Elements → Embed Code → Embed HTML.
    • Squarespace, Shopify and most builders: a Code or HTML block.
  3. Publish the page.

When you change your services, prices or hours there is nothing to paste again: the form always shows what is in Citauno. You only need a new snippet when you change the options (the language, the service already picked, the colour…).

What your client sees

The same rules as your booking page: your hours, the minimum notice, how far ahead they can book, manual or automatic confirmation, and the deposit, if you ask for one.

  • They book without an account, with first name, last name and WhatsApp. They get the confirmation and the reminders like any other client.
  • If they’d rather book with their account, a link opens your Citauno booking page in a new tab. The same when your business requires an account to book: the widget shows a button that carries on in a new tab.
  • If there is a deposit to pay online, the payment button opens in a new tab. Paying inside somebody else’s website is not safe, and browsers don’t handle it well.
  • Session packages are not offered inside the widget: they are bought on your Citauno page.
  • At the end they see their booking’s confirmation inside your website.

Under the form it says “Bookings by Citauno”.

How to tell which bookings came from your website

  • In the calendar, every booking that came through the widget carries a Web mark.
  • The booking’s details say “Came from the widget on your website”.
  • In Bookings, the Source filter has a Widget on your website option.
  • In Visits and bookings (Analytics), visits that start in the widget are counted on their own.

Frequently asked questions

Do I change anything if I change my business’s address on Citauno? No. The widget follows the new address.

Do my clients see the Citauno page? No: they book inside your website. They only go to a new tab to pay an online deposit or to sign in with their account.

Can I put it on several pages? Yes. Paste the same snippet, or one with other options, on every page you want.

What happens if I switch online booking off? The widget says so in its place and offers your profile.
