Your own Meta Pixel and Google Analytics

Updated on Tuesday 03 November 2026

Connect your Meta Pixel and your Google Analytics 4 to see your visits, and every booking as a conversion, in your own accounts and your ads.

If you advertise on Instagram, Facebook or Google, connect your own Meta Pixel and your Google Analytics 4. Your accounts see visits to your Citauno page and every booking as a conversion, so your ads learn from real bookings rather than clicks, and your agency measures results in your own accounts.

It is included in your plan, at no extra cost.

Where to set it up

In Settings, in the Marketing and tracking section, paste:

Field What it is Where to find it
GA4 measurement ID It starts with G-, for example G-AB12CD34EF. In Google Analytics: Admin → Data streams → your web stream.
Meta Pixel ID Numbers only, for example 123456789012345. In Meta Events Manager: your dataset (Pixel) → Settings.

Tap Save. You can set just one of the two. To disconnect one, leave its field empty and save.

You paste only the ID, never a snippet: Citauno builds the tag for you. If the ID is not in the right format, Settings points it out and does not save it.

Only the business’s owner and admins see this section. Events businesses don’t have it: they have no booking page.

Where they load

Only on your business’s public pages:

Page Google Analytics Meta Pixel
Your profile (citauno.com/your-business) Yes Yes
Your link-in-bio page (/l/your-business) Yes Yes
The booking form No No
The page that confirms the booking Yes Yes

Neither loads on the booking form: your client’s name, phone and email are there, and Meta (with automatic advanced matching) and Google (with automatic detection of user-provided data) can read them on their own if you have those options turned on.

They never load on other businesses’ pages, on Explore, on the rest of Citauno, in your dashboard or in the professionals’ agenda.

What each account receives

  • Visits: a page view (page_view in Google Analytics, PageView in the Pixel) on every page in the table.

  • Every online booking, once:

    • the Pixel receives the standard Schedule event;
    • Google Analytics receives the recommended generate_lead event.

Both carry the booking’s amount and currency, the services and the booking code (the same one your client sees and you see in your agenda). The Pixel uses that code as the event ID, so Meta never counts the same booking twice.

Your client’s name, phone and email are never sent, and neither is the private link to their booking.

In Google Analytics, mark generate_lead as a key event to see it as a conversion and import it into Google Ads. In Meta Ads Manager, choose Schedule as your campaign’s conversion event.

How the confirmation page works

When a client books, they first see the Booking confirmed page for a second, which sends the conversions, and right after it their booking with all its details. That first page doesn’t hold the booking’s private link, so neither Google nor Meta can see it.

If the booking asks for a deposit, the conversion still counts when the booking is made, and your client goes straight on to pay it.

What it doesn’t do

  • The booking widget on your website doesn’t load your Pixel or your Google Analytics: your website already runs its own.
  • There is no Google Tag Manager and no Google Ads tags: only the Google Analytics 4 ID. From Google Analytics you can import the conversions into Google Ads.
  • It doesn’t send events through Meta’s Conversions API from the server: only the Pixel in the browser.
  • Bookings your team enters don’t count as conversions, only the ones clients make online.

Privacy

The data your Google and Meta accounts receive is yours and your responsibility. Citauno’s privacy policy tells your clients that a business may add its own tags to its pages, and what they receive.
