Register your business (step-by-step wizard)
Updated on Thursday 15 October 2026
A single 8-step wizard that gets your business ready to take bookings: country, plan, category, business, hours, services, team, and your account.
Registering your business is a single 8-step wizard. You fill it in screen by screen and, at the end, Citauno creates everything at once: your account, the business, the location, your hours, your services, and your team. You can go back whenever you want with “Back” — what you type is saved as you go.
To start, go to citauno.com, tap Sign up, and choose For my business. You go straight into the wizard. The top of each screen tells you which step you’re on (“Step 3 of 8”).
Overview of the 8 steps
| Step | What you do | Required |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Country | Which country your business is in (sets your plan’s currency) | Yes |
| 2. Professionals | How many professionals work (sets your plan) | Yes |
| 3. Category | The type of business (salon, spa, etc.) | Yes, at least one |
| 4. Your business | Name, URL, logo, cover, first location, contact, currency, and time zone | Business name and location name |
| 5. Hours | Your location’s opening hours | No (comes with defaults) |
| 6. Services | Your services with duration and price | No (you can add them later) |
| 7. Team | The professionals who work | No |
| 8. Account | Your name, email, and password (or Google) | Yes |
Everything is created at the end. Only when you confirm the last step are your account and business created. If you leave before that, nothing is saved half-finished — you can pick up later where you left off.
If you already have an account and started the wizard signed in, it skips the account step (and, if you already own another business, the professionals step too: the plan is sized to the team you add).
Step 1: Which country is your business in?
Pick your country from the cards; each one tells you which currency you’ll see prices in (for example, “Prices in Paraguayan guaraníes (Gs.)”). If your country isn’t one of the cards, select “Another country” and choose it from the list: prices are then shown in US dollars.
Nothing is preselected on purpose: the country decides the currency you’re billed in, and you won’t be able to change it once billing starts. While you’re in the wizard, you can still go back and change it.
If you arrived from a button on the home page, such as “Try 15 days free” or “Create my business”, the wizard starts right at step 2 with Paraguay as the country. If your business is in another country, tap “Back” and choose it here.
Step 2: How many professionals?
A professional (or seat) is someone who serves clients. If you work on your own, enter 1. If you have a salon with you and two more stylists, enter 3. You pay for each active professional.

It’s a counter with − and + (from 1 to 200). If you came from the calculator on Pricing, it already shows the number of professionals you picked there. Below it, the per-professional price, the estimated monthly total, and the included WhatsApp messages update instantly, in the currency of the country you chose. If you see a struck-through price, that’s the launch discount: a percentage off the regular list price.
Team discount. Every professional you add after the first takes 5% off the whole plan, up to 20% from 5 professionals: 2 professionals pay 5% less, 3 pay 10% less, 4 pay 15% less. The total already shows it, and every invoice has its own “Team discount” line.
Each professional includes 50 WhatsApp messages per month for reminders. The total you see is what you’d pay after the 15 free days — during the trial you’re not charged anything.
What if I hire more people later? No problem. You can add or remove professionals whenever you want; next month’s invoice adjusts itself. If you add more professionals in the Team step than you chose here, the wizard shows you how the price changes before you confirm.
Step 3: Business category
The screen asks “What does your business do?”. Choose one or more categories: they’re used to present your business in the Citauno marketplace, so people looking for that type of business find you.

If you mix lines of work (for example salon + beauty), check both. If yours isn’t listed, choose “Other” and describe it in the field that appears. A category you write yourself is reviewed by an admin before it appears in search.
Step 4: Your business
This is where you give your business its identity. The only required fields are the business name and the name of your first location; the rest you can fill in now or later.

- Business name (required): the trade name your clients see (for example “Estudio Pilar”).
- Your business URL: your address on Citauno. It fills itself in from the name and you can edit it: if you choose
estudio-pilar, it becomescitauno.com/estudio-pilar. We tell you right away if it’s taken. Use only letters, numbers, and hyphens. - Logo and cover photo: they upload as you pick them and give your public page a nice face.
- Short description: one or two sentences about what you offer.
- Your first branch (the name is required): a name such as “Downtown branch” and the address. Start typing the address and pick from the Google Maps suggestions: it improves your local ranking and helps clients arrive correctly. If you work from home and prefer not to show it, you can leave the address blank. In Brazil, a CEP box appears above the search: type your CEP and we fill in the street, neighborhood, city, and state for you.
- WhatsApp, Instagram, and Phone: they appear on your public page so people can reach you.
- Currency: the one used for your service prices. It’s suggested from your country.
- Time zone: we detect it from your browser and you can change it. It decides the times your clients see, so check it.
Choose the URL carefully. There’s no field to change it later from the dashboard: if you need a different one, contact us and we’ll change it. When we do, old links don’t break — they redirect themselves (301) to the new one.
Step 5: Hours
The screen asks “When are you open?”. Set your location’s opening hours. They come with defaults (Monday to Saturday, 09:00–20:00, Sunday closed), so you can adjust them or leave them as they are and continue.

Each day has its Closed box, opening and closing times, and Add break for a lunch break. With a day’s Copy button you pick the other days under “Copy to” and tap Apply: the schedule (breaks included) is copied without entering each day one by one.
Step 6: Services
Add your main services with their name, duration, and price. You can add several at once with Add another service, and add more later from the dashboard.

By default, each service is available at your location, can be booked online, and can be performed by any professional — you can fine-tune who does what later. If you don’t have them figured out yet, leave the row empty and continue: you add them afterward.
Step 7: Team
The screen asks “Who provides the services?”. Add the professionals with Add another professional. For each one the name is enough (photo, email, and phone are optional).

By default, each professional can offer all of your services and uses the business hours — you can customize this whenever you want. Entering their email here sends no invitation: if you want them to sign in to Citauno and see their schedule, invite them later from Team (see Add your first professional). If you add more professionals than you chose in step 2, the wizard shows you how the price looks before you confirm.
Step 8: Your account
The last step, “Almost there — create your account”, creates your login. Fill in your first name, last name, email, WhatsApp, and password, accept the Terms and the Privacy Policy, and tap “Create account & start”. You can also sign up with Google in one tap. If you already have an account, use “Sign in”: when you come back, the wizard finishes creating your business.

When you confirm, Citauno creates everything together (account, business, location, hours, services, and team) and starts your 15-day trial. We send you an email to confirm your address; in the meantime, you can already use the app. Confirm it soon: until then, only you can see your public page.
Done!
If you added at least one service, one professional, and your hours, you see the “Your business is ready!” screen with “View my page” and “View booking page” (they open in a new tab, so you instantly see how your clients see you) and “Go to dashboard”.

If you skipped a step (services or team, for example), no worries: you land on the dashboard, which shows the “Set up your business” guide so you can finish what’s missing whenever you want.
What you already have
- Your account and business created, with the public URL ready.
- A location with address and hours.
- Your services and team added.
- A plan with a 15-day free trial and the month’s WhatsApp messages.
