Create your first location and working hours

Updated on Thursday 21 May 2026

The wizard already created the location. Here we adjust its working hours and contact details and set it to active.

When you created the business in the wizard, your first location was created too. Now we’ll adjust the hours during which you work and the contact details specific to that location (which can be different from the business’s general contact details).

Why the location matters

In Citauno, each location defines its own working hours, not the business. This helps when you grow:

  • If you open a second location in another neighborhood with different hours, each one is managed separately.
  • If you want to take bookings only at one location while the other is closed for renovations, you can deactivate it without affecting the other.

To start with a single location, everything you need is on this screen.

How to get there

In the dashboard, go to Locations in the side menu. You’ll see a list with the location the wizard created. Tap “Edit” on the right to open the form.

List of business locations with an “Edit” button on each row

Fields to fill in

Name

The name should be clear for your team and for you. If you only have one, you can keep the business name or change it to something more specific:

If your business is called… Good location name
Estudio Pilar Las Mercedes location
Barbería Asunción Centro location
Spa Renacer Main office

Tip: think ahead. When you open a second location, “Main office” or “Las Mercedes location” makes more sense than leaving the business name repeated.

Address

Start typing and choose from the list that appears (it’s Google Places). This ensures that:

  • The customer sees an exact map on your public page.
  • The WhatsApp reminders include a Google Maps link that opens the correct location.
  • Your business gains better local ranking on Google.

Location form with address field

If you work from home and prefer not to show the exact address, you can leave it empty. Then contact each customer via WhatsApp to give them the location.

Location phone and WhatsApp

By default, the location inherits the business’s phone and WhatsApp (the ones you entered in Settings). If this location has its own local WhatsApp number, turn off the “Use the business’s” option and enter a specific one.

Example: if you have two locations with different WhatsApp numbers (one for Asunción and one for Encarnación), each location should have its own number. Customers who book at the Encarnación location will receive the Encarnación WhatsApp, not the central one.

Instagram

Same as with the phone: it inherits from the business or you enter one specific to the location. Useful if each location has its own Instagram account.

Working hours

This is the most important section. It defines when the public can book on your link.

Weekly grid of working hours by day

For each day of the week (Monday to Sunday) you’ll see:

  • Closed / Open — toggle
  • If open: opening time and closing time
  • The option to add breaks (for example a midday closing)

Loading a typical schedule step by step

Imagine your studio is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 19:00:

  1. Monday: leave it on “Closed” (toggle off).
  2. Tuesday:
    • Turn on “Open”.
    • Opening time: 09:00.
    • Closing time: 19:00.
    • Tap “Add break” and set it from 12:00 to 14:00.
  3. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday: same as Tuesday.
  4. Sunday: leave it on “Closed”.

Shortcut: if most days are the same, fill in one day first. Then tap the “Copy to other days” button to clone the schedule to the other selected days.

Closed day vs. open day with no hours

If you leave a day without hours (empty opening/closing), the system treats it as closed. Same if you turn off the toggle. Any booking attempted on that day will be rejected with a clear message to the customer.

Activate the location

Before saving, make sure the “Active” checkbox is checked. A deactivated location:

  • Doesn’t appear on your public page.
  • Doesn’t allow new bookings.
  • Keeps the bookings already made (it doesn’t cancel them).

Useful when you need to “pause” a location for a few days without losing the information.

Save and verify

Press Save. You’ll return to the list of locations. To verify that everything’s right:

  1. Open your public page in an incognito tab.
  2. Tap “Book”.
  3. Tap any service (we’ll create services in the next step, but you can already see whether the location appears).
  4. The day and time the system offers should match the hours you entered.

Common mistakes

Symptom Likely cause Solution
No available slots show up to book All days are closed Check the “Open” toggles
There are only afternoon slots even though I entered the morning The midday break is set wrong Verify the break runs from 12:00 to 14:00, not 14:00 to 12:00
The customer can’t see my location The location is marked as inactive Check the “Active” checkbox

What you already have

  • A location with a clear name and the correct address.
  • Phone and WhatsApp configured (inherited from the business or specific).
  • A weekly schedule with open days, closed days, and breaks.
  • An active location ready to receive bookings.
