How it is calculated
Every no-show is a slot you did not charge for and can no longer offer to another client.
- No-shows per week = bookings per week × no-show rate.
- Loss per week = no-shows per week × average ticket.
- Loss per month = loss per week × 4.33 (the average weeks in a month: 52 ÷ 12).
A worked example
With 150 bookings a week and a 8% no-show rate, 12 clients a week do not turn up: you lose US$ 720.00 a week and about US$ 3,117.60 a month.
The result is revenue you miss out on, not lost profit: the product you did not use is not lost, but the slot is.
